Oh yeah… this is well.. a rant… here we go…

I was listening to the Wade-O radio show and was listening to a past interview on the song by the gospel group Mary Mary…

It’s a funny topic, truth be told as there is 2 sides.. There is the argument going forth that Mary Mary should have used one of the gospel rappers rather than a secular rapper, which is a valid opinion to have…. but then.. to go out and judge them saying they have mingled with the Word by using a non Christian rapper is something completely opposite..

I have searched online and see enough comments condemning the group for featuring David Banner on the record..I have heard the scripture references, what business does light have with dark and we should’t be un-equally yoked with non believers..

But my challenge is.. IS IT OUR PLACE TO JUDGE THEM?????

Hearing ppl saying it’s doing more good cause new christians can’t descern that he aint a christian, and shouldn’t what to live like him..

What about the opportunity that Mary Mary had to minister to him? What effect does writing these lyrics and going on a mic and producing it has on David himself… can Christ not use him? Is he so far gone that not even God himself can save him? In that case what about us?

Romans 3:23 states we ALL fall short of the glory of God, saying we all need salvation… Don’t get me wrong.. i am not saying what they did was right or wrong.. it’s actually not as clear cut… u can’t shun someone cause they are not a believer.. we are suppose to lead them to the light which is Christ.. Do you think Mary Mary went out purposely and sort out a non believer to do a track with? Gospel rapper Shai Linne said something about not having enough vocabulary in the english language to describe our God.. Do you think its an accident it happen? and if so.. could it be any more an accident than a child born out of wedlock?

We definitely need to stop judging, there is a message in the song, get the message and stop judging the messenger… I am not saying that David Banner is the best example to take Godly advice from, but who is? With Pastors divorcing, scandals in church, who is the best example to come from?

What to see what really sad.. here it is.. for all those who say that it was a bad example for non believers, it’s an even worse example for someone who say they are a Christian and pelt everything except love and prayer at David Banner, and Mary Mary….all non christian seeing that will say look at how they treat their own, why would i wanna be part of that..

I hear ppl say, how they don’t see the power of God manifesting in these times like how they did back in the days the bible speak of….my answer to that.. OBVIOUSLY it isn’t going to be the same..

We’re a bunch of unforgiving and quick to judge folk, how can His power be manifested in us when we ourselves are the cause of the lack or power..
We claim we have power, but how powerless we really are..

To any artist who go out and seek to spread the word of Christ i commend you, its like walking a tight rope.

I will never forget, my Pastor {Elector Pearson – Thankful Family Church} has a Harley, nice bike, and he has his affinity group where he uses his bike as a ministry to minster to other bikers.. I have heard some many bashings coming from the same Christians who should be out in the community showing love but they stuck inside 4 walls eating off the altar but aint going out into the community to share a single word, but would stand and judge those who do….

My lil bros dad made me remember about the “unclean” woman who touch Jesus, and someone said, if you know who she was Jesus wouldn’t want her to touch him…What did He do????

Lord, forgive us, help up to seek your face, forgive our unforgiveness and our willing to judge… Father, have mercy and grace over us, pour out your love on the ppl who have dedicated their lives to share of your glory through music or any other platform.. give guidance and direction In Jesus name.. Amen..

aj

The other day I was reading in the book of Matthew how Jesus called out his first two disciples. I have heard and read this story many times. But for the first time two words stuck out boldly to me in Matthew 3:19: teach and fish.

Matt 3:19- Jesus said to them, ” Come with me! I will teach you how to bring in people instead of fish‘

These men where skilled fishermen!!! What I found so amazing was that Jesus was going to teach them how to use their skill of fishing to bring people to God. Now that struck me as wonderful because I know that God has given each of us some special gifting or skill and each of them are to be used to build his kingdom. But the sad thing is even as we may be Christians following behind our beloved Jesus, we still do not know how to use what he has given us. Or sometimes in our own efforts we use the skills that he has given us in the wrong way. Then we find that we are not fulfilling the great commission because we are loosing more people everyday than we gain.

It is important that each of us know what our giftings or skills are since this passage clearly points out that God wants to use us for it and the sake of the His Kingdom. If you don’t know what your giftings are I suggests that you seek earnstly to find out what it is in order for God to unlock the hidden treasures in you. If you do know what you skills or giftings are, please do not let them go to waste or be taken from you; as like the unfaithful servant in the story of the 5 talents.

Today or any day ask Jesus to teach you how to properly use your gifting to win souls for his name sake; whether it may be giving, intercession or even teaching. When you give Him even the little you have He promises you to return in abundance of blessings and prosperity.

Unlock your treasure for Him today

I am of the opinion that some Christians are not aware of the kind of position they are in. After you have accepted that Jesus is your saviour, you are spiraled into a war. A war that requires the whole armor of God(Ephesians 6:11).A war that will require God’s hand all the way.As Christians, we have been empowered to fight yet many of us dont act like it.We have this defeated aura and are always accepting what comes our way. I know sometimes we have issues that we battle and struggle with that would get anyone down. However, you are a child of God and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world(paraphrased 1 John 4:4).
Yea, its true that the world is full of temptation and we find it so so hard to resist as a result of what we used to do before and how appealing it may seem. We are even very sad and depressed for constantly disappointing God(I myself know this feeling too well) but you know what?

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.(1 Corinthians 10:13)

So seek God first when these things attack because an escape is right before you. Hang tough and wait on the Lord, He will never leave you nor forsake you…Mighty is the Lord.Don’t forget who you are serving…

Truhnel – Dont root yourself in people because they can fail you, root yourself in Christ…for he is the same yesterday, today and forever more

Folks, today I want talk about faithfulness….Looking at Moses, this man was so faithful, that
I talking bout, saying and believing in your heart of hearts that Christ will bring ya through, no matter, what you boss say, your neighbour, your friends, all the ppl that doubt, no matter what they say, u believe that He has brought you through [ speaking things that are not, as though they were] friends, I ain’t jus saying this for you, but I talking to myself too, and this is for anyone who need to be fired-up … we got so much power, jus that we either, don’t know we do, or… believe/having faith that we can use it.. Like Truhnel said, in a previous blog, the Word ain’t say, please leave, it said DEPART, speaking with force and power… yow!!!!! God is awesome. He loves us so much that He has given so much for us, yet we living in doubt… Shake off dat flesh, get your breast-plate of righteousness stand in faith, believe that Christ will do what He has said He would do… bless a brother/sister… become humble, claim ya blessing… it is yours, no one can claim it for u… ya gotta stand and take it for yourself.. don’t waste time… Christ is not mock… His words are not shallow, they have depth, and they can set you free…

Believe…..

May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight…

Welcome again to another one of our blogs and I pray that what is on my heart to speak edifies someone and brings them closer to understanding Christ.

My disclaimer is that you not only listen to the words I have but to research them for yourself through the word. Don’t completely take any words that a man has without searching for the answers through the word of God for yourself. With that being said, I will push on.

Yeap, im convinced now that many Christians in this world we live in today do not understand and have little intention of seeking how Christ lived. They claim to be Christian(Of Christ or follower of Christ) and they still are heavily caught up in this world we live in. Partying, drinking heavily, cursing, fornicating, dishonouring their parents and doing many things that are not of Christ. Have you truly accepted him as your Lord and Saviour? Do you understand what making someone your Lord means? The word Christian has become so much of a norm that being a Christian is not enough anymore. We must continually thirst for the living God (paraphrased from Psalms 42:2) and Proverbs 3 verse 6 says “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”.

We all are work in progresses so dont expect God to do an ‘Abrakadabra Alakazam’ on your life. Although He has the power to do anything because God is without limits, He takes His time to mould us so that we can witness the changes and glorify his precious name. Then we can use our lives as testimonies to help strengthen our understanding in the truth that He deserves all the glory and all the honour.

Im not condemning anyone because there is no condemnation in Christ(meant both ways) and I myself am not perfect but with every truth about myself that isn’t aligned with the word of God, I set out to try to change. Seek the kingdom of heaven and its righteousness and all things shall be added unto you (paraphrased from Matthew 6:33).

For those who are new to following Christ and are worried about having to stop certain things before they fully come to Christ..when you truthfully begin to seek Christ and open yourself to hear what God has to say to you, you will realise that some of the things that you were worried about begin to lose their appeal and hence you would find it easier than you thought to cut them from your life.

This message is to prompt us to take a look at our lives and see what we can shed that isnt bringing forth good fruits, helping out a brother or glorifying God.
Trust me, after my blog, im going to do the same because we all are works in progress in Christ. Keep seeking Him and put Him first in your life today.

Take care, God bless and bless a brother in need

Truhnel

From looking at the different uses of the word in the OT, we can get a glimpse of what it really means to have a “perfect heart toward the LORD”. In essence, to have a heart that is perfect toward the LORD, a person must be peaceable; they must ensure that the things they do as well as their motives, etc come from a heart that is uncut (is not half-hearted or wrongfully motivated); they will be fully persuaded to do that which is honourable to both man and God; they will prepare themselves and essentially make themselves ready and equipped to live in a manner that when God is ready to move, they are also ready to move with him; they are just in their dealings with others and do not deceive their fellow man in any way; they will do diligently that which is necessary to ensure that their hearts, minds and spiritual capacity is operating at full strength, whether this is by study of the Scriptures, prayer, meditation on God, or whatever it takes to ensure their hearts spiritually have full strength.

Can you imagine the benefits of having a heart that is perfect toward the LORD? WOW!!! The other night I ran into a guy and, while speaking, asked him if he can imagine what this passage in Chronicles is really saying. If our hearts are perfect toward the LORD, he personally makes it his mission to search back and forth throughout the whole earth to look for ways in which he can remind us and prove to the world that “this is my beloved son [or daughter] in whom I am well pleased”. Imagine what would happen to a person who sought evil against one whose heart is perfect toward the LORD; imagine the doors that will open at the bewilderment of people and even ourselves if our hearts were Full toward the LORD; imagine how we would see serious and jaw-dropping results when we speak things into being because of the favour of the LORD; imagine how when we minister to others who have lost hope or their faith in God and because our hearts are perfect towards the LORD, he ensures that he proves himself and proving that we speak under his authority by showing to that person we are ministering to exactly what we told them God would do; imagine how God would deliver us and others at our request or declaration if our hearts were perfect toward him. God would show himself strong on our behalf.

Most, if not all of us (I am included) could probably admit that our hearts aren’t perfect toward the LORD. Perhaps we can all motivate each other to get to that place so instead of just dancing and singing and giving offering and doing all the religious things we do in church every week, we actually see God moving through and in our lives so we make a real difference to people out there in the earth who have real needs and real issues such as poverty, hunger, rejection, hate and other distresses; so people can look at us and really see the benefits of just living a life intent on giving God pleasure.

Regards,

cause we gon live for Christ
we gon hold it down
stone cold hold that ground
all my soldiers rise up
spark that Holy culture wild
Cross Movement – Holy Culture – Rise up

Why do preachers preach?
Why do Intercessors interceed?
Why do Ministers minister?
Why do what we do in an effort to share the gospel?

Listening to the above track mixed with answering the above questions i fill so good…

This is not something I can answer for anyone.. the saying to each his/her is very apparent in this….. Christ asked, who do you say I am? and with that, Tom can’t answer for Harry, nor Jill for Sonya…

Before you can say you’re going into the world and share gospel, you gotta know why you doing it… and you can only know this via a relationship…
hmm…It all goes hand in hand when you look at it this way… If you have a relationship with Christ, then He can impart what He wants you to do… without the relation we are fooling ourselves..

Yow… what’s your motive? why would you wanna go and tell someone about Christ? hmm.. vise[ imagine] – you gone to someone and reason, i got a friend that is so cool, i want u to meet he/she, after introducing names, you stuck, cause in true fact u didn’t know the person, but u just want people to know you know someone… This is how we do a lot of things of the kingdom, how can ya preach Christ and don’t know Him… It’s time to get some alone time with your God…

Why do I want you to know Him?
because He is the Way, the Truth, the Life, He is the Rose of Sharon, He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah [praise].. He is the air i breathe….He is everything, Jesus is….. the reason…

Have a blessed and wonderful day.. .
In all your doings, seek Jesus first…

“Big chips? nah, God prefers using the small chips,
He loves when the score’s 90 to 10 and you just got the ball stripped” Da T.R.U.T.H – Incredible Christians

Welcome to another blog post and I pray that you gather something from this and direct the glory to God.

Referring to the lyrics that I opened with, its truly amazing. God can choose to use the most able and strongest, wealthiest, most capable people to do certain jobs but instead he chooses the little men to carry out his work. We remember the story of David and Goliath where the young boy put a giant in his place with just a stone and a sling shot.Using the ‘weak’ to put the ‘strong’ to shame eh?
What about Gideon that was used to save Isreal from Midian? The man that went against the Midianites with 300 men?Not only 300 men but these 300 men weren’t a part of what you would refer to as the strongest of clans.Actually, Gideon referred to them as being the weakest in Manasseh at that time. Despite that, God still used them to rid the land of the Midianites for the time period.(You can read up on Gideon from Judges 6).

When you are not favoured in a situation, thats the head time God can use you and will because its then that you are stripped of your pride which can be very well stopping you from seeking God’s guidance at that moment. So why wait to be small when we can practice humility? After all, when it comes to serving God, humility is vital.Lets be incredible in God’s eyes. There is so much more to this so look out for more.Take care

Truhnel – John 3:30

I strongly believe that it is time that we as believers in Christ stop keeping the faith to ourselves and go out there and do God’s work with the love of Christ in our hearts. Many a time I have had people ask me “Why the Christians dont…” when we are the head people that are supposed to be showing love and taking care of one another. Instead we are keeping our Christianity for ourselves and asking for all kinds of goodies for ourselves in the mighty name of Jesus.

I recently attended a church service and listened to the word that was preached. It wasnt a bad word but afterwards, I didnt feel as if I learnt anything or had anything to think about. Upon going outside of the church afterwards, a half-sober (yea, im looking at the glass half full here) man stopped by and had a talk with us. He wore an unpressed plaid shirt and a washed out jeans and old sneakers. We sat down with him and listened to what he had tosay. He began talkin about how people would believe he is foolish because of how he dresses and looks. He told us that Christianity is supposed to be love and many believers in Christ do no show it. I was in shock..because this was coming from the lips of a man that many churches would surely condemn and cast out. He continued to talk about Peter and his closeness to Jesus. By the time it was time for us to leave, I had to safely say that I did come to church…but what I learnt was outside. For Matthew 18:20 states (“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them”).Truly that was my church for the day…not inside the building but outside. This also reminds me of when Samuel thought that Eliab was anointed by the Lord because of his appearance and the Lord said in 1 Samuel 16:7(But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”) That is what God looks at…your heart.

Enough said.

Meditating on the whole idea of love and showing others love, three days later…I was on my way to school a day and I passed a lady at the bus stop with who I would say seemed to be two of her children. She stretched her hand out as if to hike a ride and I shook my head and drove along. Believe me, I felt horrible because I could have even used that time to talk to them and Bless God for allowing myself to see them and help them out.Oh the possibilities.I felt as if I had let God down…just because I didnt want to inconvenience myself for that moment. Then the Sunday hit me when the man told us about love. It was true. How could I tell that woman that I am a follower of Christ? How would she take it? If she wasn’t following Christ at that time, would she want to after seeing my actions? Talking is the easy part but walking the walk is very important, people as I will continue to learn.

God is love and love is God, so let’s show that in our daily movements.

Faith Hope and Charity….greatest is Charity
Truhnel

What a privilege to be invited to express my love for the Lord through this forum.

I have always enjoyed writing. This is my very first blog, but I can assure you that it will not be my last. I do not take lightly anything that I do in His name. In fact, I always pray that I will approach those huge tasks as though they were little, with the understanding that I do not do them in my own strength, but by the empowerment of His Holy Spirit. And those little tasks, well I approach those as though they are really huge, simply because I do them as though I do them unto Him.

I will be happy to share what’s on my heart with you on a regular basis as the Lord leads me.

We all need to pray that the Lord will begin to stir up our gifts and talents, and that we will use them for His honor and glory. We too need to do our part and fan the flames of the desires He has placed on the inside of us. We need to make ourselves available to God to be used by Him. He is not looking for ability, He’s just looking for our availability, and He can use ordinary people and cause them to do extraordinary exploits in His name. So make yourselves available and see what God can do through you.

Until next time, may the love of God be with you all
