A new Outlook

Mary Mary’s Super Friend Track Featuring David Banner

Oh yeah… this is well.. a rant… here we go…

I was listening to the Wade-O radio show and was listening to a past interview on the song by the gospel group Mary Mary…

It’s a funny topic, truth be told as there is 2 sides.. There is the argument going forth that Mary Mary should have used one of the gospel rappers rather than a secular rapper, which is a valid opinion to have…. but then.. to go out and judge them saying they have mingled with the Word by using a non Christian rapper is something completely opposite..

I have searched online and see enough comments condemning the group for featuring David Banner on the record..I have heard the scripture references, what business does light have with dark and we should’t be un-equally yoked with non believers..

But my challenge is.. IS IT OUR PLACE TO JUDGE THEM?????        Read more »

Unlock your treasure for Him

The other day I was reading in the book of Matthew how Jesus called out his first two disciples. I have heard and read this story many times. But for the first time two words stuck out boldly to me in Matthew 3:19: teach and fish.

Matt 3:19- Jesus said to them, ” Come with me! I will teach you how to bring in people instead of fish

These men where skilled fishermen!!! What I found so amazing was that Jesus was going to teach them how to use their skill of fishing to bring people to God. Now that struck me as wonderful because I know that God has given each of us some special gifting or skill and each of them are to be used to build his kingdom. But the sad thing is even as we may be Christians following behind our beloved Jesus, we still do not know how to use what he has given us. Or sometimes in our own efforts we use the skills that he has given us in the wrong way. Then we find that we are not fulfilling the great commission because we are loosing more people everyday than we gain.    Read more »

Who are you serving?

I am of the opinion that some Christians are not aware of the kind of position they are in. After you have accepted that Jesus is your saviour, you are spiraled into a war. A war that requires the whole armor of God(Ephesians 6:11).A war that will require God’s hand all the way.As Christians, we have been empowered to fight yet many of us dont act like it.We have this defeated aura and are always accepting what comes our way. I know sometimes we have issues that we battle and struggle with that would get anyone down. However, you are a child of God and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world(paraphrased 1 John 4:4).
Yea, its true that the world is full of temptation and we Read more »

Faithfulness

Sherwin Gardner – Who I Am – In Your Presence

Seeking your face my Jesus, everyday,

I want to see your face,

Be with you one day,

Resting gently in your arms,

Keeping safe lord, from harm,

I say, in your presence is where I belong,

In your presence singing my songs

May the Lord continue to bless the men and women who share the gospel through the medium of music.

Yo! … Yo!! Yow!!!!!!!!!!!! I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ….

It’s against the norm thus far that we have blogs back to back, but that’s not the point, now is it? The message has to be put out there, and that’s what we shall do…

Folks, today I want talk about faithfulness….Looking at Moses, this man was so faithful, that
God spoke to him, face…to…. face Read more »

Keep Seeking!!

Welcome again to another one of our blogs and I pray that what is on my heart to speak edifies someone and brings them closer to understanding Christ.

My disclaimer is that you not only listen to the words I have but to research them for yourself through the word. Don’t completely take any words that a man has without searching for the answers through the word of God for yourself. With that being said, I will push on.

Yeap, im convinced now that many Christians Read more »

Perfect Heart

Hello Friends,

It’s been a while but I thought I would share this passage and teaching that God has been whispering into my spirit and inspiring me toward.  It is found in 2 Chronicles 16:9

“For the eyes of the LORD run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him…”

I decided I had to find out exactly what it means to have a heart perfect toward the LORD.  The word translated as perfect in this verse in translated in other Old Testament passages as:

Peaceable (Genesis 34:21)

Whole (Deuteronomy 27:6 - When God commanded that the stones for the altar must be WHOLE and UNCUT)

Full (Ruth 2:12 – When Boaz declared a blessing of a FULL Read more »

Incredible

Big chips? nah, God prefers using the small chips,
He loves when the score’s 90 to 10 and you just got the ball stripped” Da T.R.U.T.H – Incredible Christians

Welcome to another blog post and I pray that you gather something from this and direct the glory to God.

Referring to the lyrics that I opened with, its truly amazing. God can choose to use the most able and strongest, wealthiest, most capable people to do certain jobs but instead he chooses the little men to carry out his work. We remember the story of David and Read more »

..but the greatest of these is Charity

I strongly believe that it is time that we as believers in Christ stop keeping the faith to ourselves and go out there and do God’s work with the love of Christ in our hearts. Many a time I have had people ask me “Why the Christians dont…” when we are the head people that are supposed to be showing love and taking care of one another. Instead we are keeping our Christianity for ourselves and asking for all kinds of goodies for ourselves in the mighty name of Jesus.

I recently attended a church service and listened Read more »

Make Room

What a privilege to be invited to express my love for the Lord through this forum.

I have always enjoyed writing. This is my very first blog, but I can assure you that it will not be my last. I do not take lightly anything that I do in His name. In fact, I always pray that I will approach those huge tasks as though they were little, with the understanding that I do not do them in my own strength, but by the empowerment of His Holy Spirit. And those little tasks, well I approach those as though they are really huge, simply because I do them as though I do them unto Him.

I will be happy to share what’s on my heart with you on a regular basis as the Lord leads me.

We all need to pray that the Lord will begin to stir up our gifts and talents, and that we will use them for His honor and glory. We too need to do our part and fan the flames of the desires He has placed on the inside of us. We need to make ourselves available to God to be used by Him.  He is not looking for ability, He’s just looking for our availability, and He can use ordinary people and cause them to do extraordinary exploits in His name. So make yourselves available and see what God can do through you.

Until next time, may the love of God be with you all
JS
